Day 37 & 38 – June 21 & 22, 2024
Mike and Debbie are amazing people. They took me in, helped me evaluate Abigail. They fed me, took care of me and the dogs!
We went thrift store shopping and by pure coincidence found a new member of their family, Daisy Mae. She is the cutest 3-month-old lab mix. She fit right in with the rest of their family. Obviously, Debbie and Mike are cool with animals, but watching that little runt puppy blossom out of its shy state into a romping maniac was not only fun, but educational.
Mike and Debbie have only been in their new house for a month. Their new home is lovely, the back yard is completely fenced and there is additional acreage all around. They are putting in a pool, adding a she-shed/sewing room. There is a front deck and a beautiful backyard. A completely detached 2 car garage and a pottery shed. The previous owner was a potter and left some of her pottery which Debbie shared with me! Beautiful.
Debbie inherited fur. Some of the relatives were making pillows, appliques and other things using this fake fur. There were 4 gigantic tubs full of all colors. We puzzled over it for a while and then I came away with 2 bags full. Get your thinking caps on, because I’m thinking I’ll need some ideas.
Before they moved into their house, they lived in their motorhome for about 30+ days? For those of us who like to travel, that’s not a bad thing because we move every couple of days. But to live in an RV for 30+ days standing in the same spot can be tough. I’ve done that too, not easy. So, Debbie took me down to their MH and let me shop. I’m amazed at all the things she shared with me.
We have decided that we are going to do a zoom type call as often as possible to share projects and help each other out. I’m looking forward to this!!!
These people have truly been a blessing in my live!!! I love you both!
